Feedback discussion

Here’s a breakdown of the feedback received in various categories and how it has been incorporated into the project:

Project Plans

Professor Feedback: Suggested expanding on the project goals’ descriptions.
Incorporation: We elaborated on the project goals to provide more comprehensive descriptions in the final deliverable.

EDA Work

Peer Feedback: Suggested focusing on useful features or dimensions that can bring value to the following ML and NLP parts.
Incorporation: We expanded our EDA analysis by considering different dimensions and data segmentation to enrich the ML and NLP components.

NLP Work

Peer Feedback: Proposed user stratification analysis to divide users into cohorts based on their preferences.
Incorporation: We considered the suggestion of implementing LDA and other techniques on different groups of fans such as fan’s anti-fans and neutral in the NLP analysis.

Professor Feedback: Concerns were raised about displaying all data points in the scatterplot. It was suggested to show percentiles and a histogram instead.
Incorporation: We changed the scatterplot to a barplot to address this concern.

Professor Feedback: It was noted that the colors used for the Reddit community fans were not distinct enough.
Incorporation: We altered the color scheme to enhance distinction between the categories.

Professor Feedback: A request was made to explore why there is a significant amount of sadness associated with the Swift tour.
Incorporation: We addressed this point in the inference section of the plot and considered possible reasons for the emotions.

Professor Feedback: It was suggested to round labels, particularly in the sunburst plot and other relevant areas.
Incorporation: We rounded labels wherever necessary in the project.

Professor Feedback: A question was raised about a comment being classified as sexism and a possible explanation was provided.
Incorporation: We mentioned this as one of the limitations of the classifier, acknowledging its inaccuracies.

ML Work

Professor Feedback: Concerns were raised about the ROC curve and the importance of having an even line.
Incorporation: We made adjustments to the ROC curve to ensure a more even representation.

Professor Feedback: It was suggested to round values in tables as the 12th digit isn’t helpful.
Incorporation: We rounded table values to 4 digits for clarity.

Professor Feedback: The recommendation was made to include numerical values in the confusion matrices for better interpretation.
Incorporation: We implied the inclusion of numerical values in the confusion matrices for clarity.

Website/Results

Professor Feedback: Appreciated the website.
Peer Feedback: suggested using a lighter format instead of a dark one.
Incorporation: We adjusted the website backdrop as suggested by the peer group.
